Girl power will be making it better

September 26th - Windsor 8K - GIrl Power Making it Better!
The girls are back to run the Windsor 8k again! They enjoyed the experience so much last year, so they thought why not do it again? Even better they've managed to persuade (coerce?) even more runners to join the fun ... so there's going to be a magnificent line up of 15!!
The Windsor 8K is a ladies only race in Windsor Great Park on September 26th. Not too long a distance you might say. Well for a seasoned runner then no it should be just like a walk in the park, but not many of the girlpowered team are seasoned runners! So 8K seems a safe enough distance not to kill them off but to show they're willing to don the dusty trainers and running shorts and prove there's life in the old legs still!
The girls are doing this for Kathy's children Jacob and Charlotte, who were diagnosed with Microvillous Atrophy last year, for Daniel and for other families affected by this devastating condition, who need help, guidance and information.
Training is now in full swing! Please help spur us on by sponsoring us and leaving us a message of support on our justgiving page!
Daniel was lucky to have received two transplants in his short lifetime. As Daniel's family we will always be grateful to two very special families who gave Daniel such an incredible gift. Raising awareness of the need for more people to sign the Organ Donor Register is very important to us.
