It's That Time of Year Again - Christmas Card Competition Time!Bet you didn't know that it's only 164 days til Christmas - probably even closer by the time you read this! (click here to see just how close) What better time to launch our Christmas Card Competition 2007? Last year's cards were so successful - they looked fantastic and were admired by everyone who saw them - we've decided to do it again!! Once again we're looking for a Christmassy theme - but apart from that, the world is your oyster, as long as it's your own original work. You can send your entries in any format you like, be it a Jpeg or a spaghetti picture. Closing date is August 31st. All electronic entries should be sent to smile@makingitbetter.org.uk Or if you have a paper entry, drop us a quick email (same address) and we'll give you the snail mail address to send it to. Please let us know your name, age (unless you're over a certain age, of course) and your contact details. Anyone can enter, so break out your crayons and get arty. We'll show the winners in the September newsletter (another good reason to subscribe right now! It's free of course and full of lots of 'hot off the press' info'.). The prize will be fabulous (would you expect anything less?!) OK, it's a Special Daniel Courtney T-Shirt, a Daniel Courtney Bear and some free cards. But, best of all - your name will appear on the back of the card if you're a winner!! Last year we sold the cards all around the world, and we know that people who bought them sent them to friends in far-away places including Peru, Australia, Japan And New Zealand. How's that for instant fame? Our judge will be our very own Patron, Dr Neil Shah from Great Ormond Street Hospital, and needless to say, his decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into, blah, blah...legal stuff about indemnifying us and we will own the copyright....etc. Time to get creative!!
