supporting jeans 4 genes day
02 October 09 - a day in denin
Thank you to every one who took part in Jeans for Genes Day, helping to raise vital funds for children and families affected by genetic disorders!!
In the UK, one baby in every 33 (the equivalent of one in every class of schoolchildren) is born with a genetic disorder. Daniel was one of these children. And we were one of the charities chosen to receive funding from Jeans for Genes this year! Our research project, aiming to identify mutations in the MY05B gene* is to being funded with a grant of £20,000 through the UCL Institute of Child Health (UCL ICH). This grant will come from the funding the ICH receives every year from Jeans for Genes, through its partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital. Check us out on the Jeans for Genes Website and in their latest newsletter please do everything you can to support this amazing charity.

Daniel was lucky to have received two transplants in his short lifetime. As Daniel's family we will always be grateful to two very special families who gave Daniel such an incredible gift. Raising awareness of the need for more people to sign the Organ Donor Register is very important to us.
