4 March 07 - Laughter For Life
They say that laughter is the best kind of medicine... and now it really might help save lives. Emma and Emily from the Live Life Give Life Campaign have just announced that they will be hosting a fantastic Comedy Night - Laughter For Life - at the Mermaid Centre, Blackfriars, London on Sunday, 4th March. The event kicks off at 7.30 and promises to be a fantastic evening with a star studded line-up including Bill Bailey (I've seen him live and he's absolutely brilliant - Ed), Dara O Briain, Ian Stone, Rob Rouse, Glenn Wool and Geoff Whiting - all of whom are giving their services free (hooray!!)
Proceeds from the evening will go towards funding a Specialist Donor Coordinator based at Harefield Hospital to improve organ donor and transplant services in the UK. Hopefully there will be lots of media coverage so that the event will raise awareness of the desperate shortage of organ donors in the UK. As some of you will already know, Emily recently received the double lung transplant that she had been waiting almost two years for, and which she so desperately needed. We are all thinking about you Emily and sending you loads and loads of pink and sparkly best wishes!
