Nick Courtney - Daniel's Uncle

Hello! I’m Nick! I’m Mark’s younger brother (although you may not believe it by looking at my photo!), therefore Daniel’s uncle.

I was honoured and delighted to be asked to be a Trustee for the Charity. Having been lucky enough to get to know Daniel very well while he was staying in Birmingham Children’s Hospital, I want to do all I can to support a charity set up in his memory. I was so impressed with the care he received in the hospital and the support Mark & Jo received from hospital staff and Edward’s Trust that I welcome the opportunity to give something back.

I carry an organ donor card and have been a blood donor for many years and through being part of Daniel’s situation, can see even more clearly how important this is. I therefore intend to promote organ donation, assist with fundraising and support Mark and Jo in anyway I can to ensure that Daniel is remembered and his charity thrives.
