Our wonderful friend, Annaliese Rivers, who ran the Manchester 10K a couple of years ago for us, is at it again - down South this time at the Swinley Forest 10K on 24th June. The run sets off from the Look Out near Bracknell and heads off on wide and firm trails towards the hills of Surrey Star (did someone say hills??). London Marathon - 13th April 2008 Update: Mike finished the Marathon in 4 hours, 36 minutes! Click here to read all about it! We are very excited and feel very privileged to have a runner in the London Marathon this year - Mike Ellis (who is our sister-in-law's brother!) Mike will be running for Daniel and also Breast Cancer Haven in memory of his friend, Helen. Breast Cancer Haven offers a free programme of care to help patients and those supporting them and had been so helpful to Helen when she was ill. Mike has set up sponsorship pages on Just Giving - a separate page for each Charity (as unfortunately he can't put them on to one page). It would be great if you could lend him your support!!
24- 25 November - Christmas Fayre - Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings Bromsgrove - If you live in the Midlands area, why not come along to the Museum's Christmas Fayre? We have our very own stall where we'll be selling Christmas cards & bears, and telling everyone about the Charity and promoting organ donation at the same time. Look out for the balloons and come along and say hello! Starts 10.30am till dusk - Normal admission to the museum applies. There are five fantastic designs to choose from, including of course our three fabulous prize winning entries. Non-uniform Day - Firside Middle School, Hellesdon Firside Middle School are having a non-uniform day on Friday 20th October, where pupils can make a donation to wear their own clothes to school. We are delighted that they have chosen to give all the money that they raise to The Daniel Courtney Trust. NCT Pregnancy & Baby Fair - We will be sharing a stand with Gerry's Caterpillar Music, selling baby equipment to raise funds for the Daniel Courtney Trust (and to clear some space in our storage!) Update: lots of cakes were sold and £50 was raised - thank you to everyone who cooked and bought! 22 Feb 2006 - Body Shop Party - Ruth Alderton will be hosting a Party for Family and friends. 10% of sales and all of the raffle money will go to the Daniel Courtney Trust. It promises to be a good evening with refreshments freshly baked by William and Emily!
