Hello, I'm Ruth, Jo Courtney's cousin. I am honoured to be a trustee for the Daniel Courtney Trust, and hope to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause.
Throughout Daniel's life, he faced each day with amazing courage, which I know he got from the tremendous love and devotion shown to him by his Mum and Dad. I am lucky enough to have two healthy children, and I have been in awe of Mark and Jo and their determination to ensure that Daniel always received the best possible treatment and care throughout his life. They have been an inspiration to me, as a parent, and I am thrilled to be given this opportunity to continue to support them.
I cherish the memories of my visits to see Daniel, and will always remember his lovely long eyelashes and his beautiful smile!

Daniel was lucky to have received two transplants in his short lifetime. As Daniel's family we will always be grateful to two very special families who gave Daniel such an incredible gift. Raising awareness of the need for more people to sign the Organ Donor Register is very important to us.
